NACA table in the 2025 ICMA Hub

The 2025 ICMA Annual Conference in Tampa brought together local government professionals from across the country—and the National Association of County Administrators (NACA) was proud to be part of the event!

Engaging discussions and networking opportunities were the highlights for county attendees. NACA’s efforts to make dedicated spaces to exchange county-related ideas and strengthen professional connections among county staff were appreciated.

NACA Table in the 2025 ICMA Hub

NACA hosted a table throughout the week in the ICMA Hub, welcoming members and new visitors interested in learning more about the organization’s events, membership, and growing county network. NACA is proud to be part of ICMA’s Strategic Alliance!

NACA Board Meeting

NACA’s activities began with a NACA Board Meeting on Saturday, October 25, where board members gathered to discuss upcoming initiatives and priorities for the year ahead.

NACA Reception

On Sunday evening, 10/26, NACA welcomed members and county professionals to the NACA Reception at nearby Yeoman’s Cask & Lion. The event featured lively networking, conversation, and camaraderie among peers from across the country.

Two NACA Idea Exchanges

Two County Administrators’ Idea Exchange sessions, held Monday, 10/27 and Tuesday, 10/26 at the Tampa Marriott Water Street, offered focused discussions on priority issues for county leaders—including workforce recruitment and retention, behavioral health strategies, and navigating executive directives. Over 65 county attendees These sessions provided valuable dialogue among county administrators, assistants, and staff sharing innovative local government practices.

SheLeadsGov Luncheon and County Member Awarded!

NACA is proud to share that Emily Lewis was awarded the The League of Women in Government’s Leadership Trailblazer Award during the SheLeadsGov Luncheon on 10/27. Congratulations to Emily and several NACA members who were 2025 finalists.

  • Awardee: Emily Lewis, Deputy County Administrator, Charlotte County, Florida

  • Finalist: Bridgette Grandsen, County Administrator, Midland County, Michigan and NACA Board member.

  • Finalist: Donna Krauss, Deputy County Administrator, Stafford County, Virginia

Affiliates' Reception

NACA joined members of Local Government Hispanic Network (LGHN), National Forum for Black Public Administrators (NFBPA), and International Network of Asian Public Administrators (I-NAPA) for the Affiliates' Reception on Monday 10/27. The event celebrated the associations' members, partners, and friends. NACA President, Betsy Keller, spoke on behalf of NACA. NACA sponsors were celebrated along with all the affiliates.
