About the Speakers: Rebecca Ryan, APF, FRSA

Rebecca wakes up every day hell-bent on making the world better for future generations. She is an economist and professional futurist who has collaborated with local governments for over twenty years. Her groundbreaking report "The Next Big Things" identified 44 critical trends for local governments and became the Alliance for Innovation's most downloaded resource. Rebecca holds the APF designation from the Association of Professional Futurists and is a fellow at the Royal Society of Arts, Commerce and Manufacturers. Her strategic foresight work has reached approximately 21 million Americans. Rebecca brings both professional expertise and personal perspective as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. Rebecca and her wife live in Madison, Wisconsin.

Linda Reid During her eighteen year career with the CIA, Linda served as both an analyst and operations officer working on issues ranging from terrorism to cyber intelligence to weapons of mass destruction, verification of international arms control treaties, and unmanned aircraft programs. Believing that we are safer together than we are apart, Linda is a founding member of the Department of Homeland (DHS) Security’s Classified Intelligence Forum, which assists DHS analysts in understanding threats to the private sector, and the Commercial Facilities and Outdoor Events subsector councils. Today she serves as the Vice President of Security at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando Florida.
